The virtues of Surah Ya-seen are given below:

1. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The eight gates of Paradise will be open for the person who recites the Surah regularly, through which he can enter.

2. In another hadith, if this Surah is recited at sunrise, all the shortcomings of the reader are removed.

3. It is narrated that if one recites this Surah before going to bed at night, he will wake up in an innocent state.

4. This Surah combines all the virtues of the Qur'an, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) called this Surah the heart of the Qur'an Majid.

5. Narrated Ali: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Follow Surah Yaaseen, it has ten benefits. He who is late for marriage, if he reads regularly, he will get married soon. Fear and danger can be avoided by reading the person in danger. Anyone caught in jail will be released soon. If you read Musafir, you will find friends. And lost things will be returned. Reading next to a dying person will make the death of that person easier. If the sick person reads, he will be cured.

6. Once this Surah is recited, the reward for reciting the Qur'an is written and all the sins of the reader are forgiven.

7. Hazrat Haris bin Akma (RA) has narrated in Marfu Hadith that when a person who is afraid recites Surah Yasin, the fear disappears. When the sick person falls, he is cured and when the hungry person falls, food is provided.
